Israel Nagore Setien, graduated as an Architect in 2006 (ETSAUN, Pamplona, Spain). After finishing his studies, he moved to London where worked in the studios of David Chipperfield Architects (2006) and Foster and Partners (2007-2009).
In 2009 he received a scholarship from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia to attend the Master in Housing Laboratory for the XXI Century in ETSAB (Barcelona). Following the completion of his Master, in 2011 he was awarded with a research grant from Camara de Comercio de Navarra to carry out an MA by research on the topic of Residential Open Building.
Israel has been a visiting critic at the Architectural Association during the last years and he has lectured on the topic of housing at various congresses of Architecture internationally. His research on Residential Open Building, has been published on specialized architectural journals and magazines. He has been a regular writer and contributor to the magazine La Ciudad Viva, and the Twentieth Century Society, a charity for the preservation of Twenty Century English Architecture.
